Russian President Putin and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had a telephone conversation.
According to sources, the two presidents discussed the ongoing situation in the Middle East and discussed issues of mutual interest.
President Putin informed his counterpart about the steps taken by the Russian side to facilitate the de-escalation of the conflict and said: “Moscow will continue supplies of essential goods, including medical equipment, to the Gaza.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of an early end to the ongoing bloodbath in Gaza.
Earlier today, 20 tonnes of Russian humanitarian aid for residents of Gaza leave for Egypt, from Russia. The cargo includes food, medicines, blankets, clothes and shoes, personal hygiene items.
