There is a lot of tension between China and the US over Taiwan. The US continues to provide arms and other aid to Taiwan.
Last year, US Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan. During her visit, China imposed a full military siege on Taiwan and threatened the US with dire consequences.
However, US officials later said that Pelosi’s visit had nothing to do with US policy and that the US supports One China and considers Taiwan part of China.
However, the US did not suspend military aid and increased its naval power near Taiwan. According to fresh news, Chinese President Xi Jinping has openly told US President Biden that China will soon make Taiwan its part.
