US ranked first in global firepower: UK and Pakistan de-ranked.

Global Firepower has released its list of the world’s most powerful militaries in 2024. The US taking the number one spot while the UK and Pakistan lost their positions from last year.

According to Global Firepower, they ranked the militaries of 145 countries in this list, taking into account more than 60 factors, including the number of troops, military equipment, financial stability, geographical location and available resources.

According to this list, among the top ten countries with the most powerful forces in the world, the United States is the first, Russia is the second, and China is the third most powerful military. India is ranked fourth in this list.

In terms of firepower, these countries had the same position last year and there has been no change.

However, the United Kingdom was at the 5th position in 2023. In 2024, it was overtaken by South Korea and now the UK has moved to the 6th position.

These countries are followed by Japan and Turkey. They have overtaken Pakistan. Pakistan has fallen from the 7th position to the 9th position.

From 2011 to 2024, the United States, Russia, China, and India have been the most powerful forces in the world. In terms of firepower, South Asian nuclear weapons country Pakistan is showing some strange behavior in this indexing. It ranked fourth in the list in 2005, overtaking India, but has since dropped out of the top ten, and in 2021, Pakistan once again returned to the top ten, ranking 10th. Then it moved to 7th place and once again began to travel backward.

In this list of the most powerful forces, Iran is ranked 14th while Israel is ranked 17th.

Among the top five countries, the country that spends the most on defense in a year is the United States, which is far ahead of all countries in this list, while China is on the second, Russia on the third, India on the fourth and Saudi Arabia on the fifth place.
