Under new laws in Ireland, publishing “hate speech” from a mobile phone or computer will be a criminal offense and could lead to jail.
People in Ireland will also face jail time for posts and tweets after new laws come into force.
In recent days, the Irish government demanded from social media companies to take down the posts made regarding the Dublin riots. After this demand, Musk accused the Irish Prime Minister of attacking freedom of speech.
Now the Prime Minister of Ireland has announced that “free speech” will be further restricted.
