Emergency has been imposed after the deterioration of the peace and order situation in Al-Qadarif State of Sudan and there is a complete curfew at night.
On Friday, the Sudanese paramilitary Forces RSF attacked the Wad Madani city and began expanding its presence in the surrounding areas.The RSF has occupied the roads between the states of Al-Jazirah and Al-Qadarif near the Sudanese capital Khartoum. After which Emergency has been enforced in Al Jazeera State as well.
The Rapid Response Forces is a former Sudanese paramilitary force. It was declared a rebel Force by the Sudanese military junta in April 2023. On April 15, 2023, the RSF launched its first attack on a Sudanese Armed Forces base. Since then, fighting has continued between the pro-junta Sudanese Armed Forces and anti-junta Rapid Response Forces.
According to statistics, 10,000 people have been killed and up to 12,000 injured in these battles, while 3 million people have been displaced.
