“Ukraine’s high burn rate for artillery has hammered home the need to invest even more in munitions. So compared to the defense budget from just five years ago, we’re putting nearly 50 percent more money into munitions,” US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The United States is currently supplying a significant amount of weapons to Ukraine and Israel, leading to a shortage of weapons for itself. It has increased work in American arms factories to supply weapons to other countries and fulfill its own inventory needs.
