The director and two deputy chiefs of South Korea’s National Intelligence Agency have resigned. This morning, three key officials of South Korea’s spy agency resigned. The resignations were approved by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. After the approval, NIS director Kim Kyum Hyeon, first and second deputy directors left their positions.

According to the initial reports, the reasons for the resignations have not been revealed. However, it is being said that all of them have resigned due to personal reasons.

However, this is not the first time.Earlier, five officials who were appointed to the NIS in June this year had rejected their appointment and refused to work in the agency. In the last months of 2022, the deputy director of the NIS, Resigned due to unknown reasons.

Taking all these events into consideration, it seems that South Korean spy agency officials have some serious differences with current President Yoon and are unwilling to work under him.
