Nawaf Al Ahmad became Emir of Kuwait on 29 September 2020. This is the highest position in Kuwait. He was made Crown Prince in 2006.
Nawaf was born on 25 June 1937. He was a son of the 10th ruler of Kuwait, Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He died today at the age of 86.
