A firing incident has taken place on a passenger bus in Gilgit region of Pakistan.
According to the sources, unknown persons opened fire on the bus going from Gilgit to Pindi around 6:30 PM local time. After the firing, the driver lost control of the bus and collided with a truck. As a result of the firing, 8 people were killed. and 26 injured. They include women and children. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Deputy Commissioner of Diamer while giving a briefing said that 8 people have died in the incident, including 2 security personnel, while 26 people including 1 civilian security personnel have been injured.
