A Ukrainian district court sentenced a Chinese blogger to 5 years in prison for uploading a video to YouTube.
Chinese blogger Wang Zixian was in Ukraine. He made a video from his apartment window on May 4 and uploaded it to YouTube.He recorded the operations of the Ukrainian air defense system and then uploaded the video to YouTube along with the location and time of the air defense operations. This was noticed by Ukrainian security and Wang was detained.
According to the court, the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces, and the number and types of weapons could be identified from the video. For this reason, the court sentenced Wang to 5 years in prison.
