The Biden administration is set to lift an embargo on offensive weapons sales to Saudi Arabia.

After the rebellion of the Houthis in Yemen, the previous Yemeni government requested the help of Saudi and other Arab countries. After which the Arab countries started joint military operations against the Houthis of Yemen on this request.
For this purpose, a joint military alliance was formed which was headed by the retired army chief of Pakistan, General Raheel Sharif.

The US imposed a ban on the export of offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia due to operations against Yemen’s Houthis. Now, according to sources, the Biden administration is preparing to lift these restrictions.
