According to the Norwegian Refugee Council, researchers at the University of Copenhagen have reached the conclusion in a study that the majority of Ukrainian migrants do not want to return to Ukraine.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, European countries opened their doors to Ukrainian migrants. These migrants went to various countries and tried to stabilize themselves there. Now, according to research, 49% of Ukrainians in Denmark do not want to return to Ukraine after the end of the conflict.

According to research “One would think that the most prosperous, who are energized and look into the future with optimism, would want to return to Ukraine and participate in its reconstruction. Of course, for some that is exactly what happened, but the overall picture is that those willing to stay for the long term have adapted,”
