In Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, pro-European opposition parties have started demonstrations rejecting the election results. In elections President Aleksandar Vučić has won again, but opposition parties are accusing the ruling party of rigging.

Last night, the protesters threw stones at the Serbian parliament, after which the police cracked down on them. During the police violence, people were injured. Now the Serbian students have threatened a complete blockade of Belgrade. According to the sources, the roads leading to Belgrade will be closed from 11:00 local time.

President Aleksandar Vučić became president in 2017. He won re-election in 2022. In May 2023, protests against the government began after the Belgrade school shooting.
