Israeli attack on Beirut. How Lebanon will respond.

Lebanon is determining the time and place to respond to the Israeli strike. However, it will make every effort to avoid a full-scale war.

Israel carried out another airstrike on the Lebanese capital Beirut yesterday, killing a senior Hamas leader, Saleh al-Aravi, and six others. After the strike, Israel said that the attack was on Hamas and not on Lebanon, but Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah threatened Israel with dire consequences.

Lebanon’s prime minister has accused Israel of trying to “draw Lebanon into the front”. According to some sources, Israel is anticipating a possible counterattack by Hezbollah and has completed all preparations near the Lebanese border. However, it seems that Lebanon does not want to take any such action that would lead to a full-scale war between Israel and Lebanon.
