British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has expressed some words on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that seem to accuse Israel of violating international law in Gaza.

“Israel might have taken action that might be in breach of international law in Gaza.” Cameron told the foreign affairs select committee.

South Africa and Gaza

Before this, South Africa has filed a case against Israel in the International Criminal Court for violating international law in Gaza. According to South Africa, genocide is taking place in Gaza.

It is clear from Cameron’s statement that Britain has started to put pressure on Israel to end the war in Gaza. This war has now become a global crisis.

David Cameron said on January 7: “The UK is doing everything it can to get more aid into Gaza. We are providing £2m to WFP for vital food assistance through a humanitarian land corridor from Jordan.

This week a second convoy reached Gaza, with 315 tons of critical supplies now being distributed. Significantly more aid must be allowed into Gaza to avoid potential famine.”

He has said in a tweet: “Israel must allow significantly more supplies to reduce the risk of hunger and disease.”

After the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East, the UK government removed one of its officials and appointed former UK Prime Minister David Cameron as the new Foreign Secretary.
Cameron has a lot of experience in the Middle East and was the best option to get the UK out of diplomatic and other difficulties in this crisis.

Earlier, the UK responded to Israel’s plan to evacuate Palestinians from Gaza:

“Gaza is Occupied Palestinian Territory and will be part of a future Palestinian state. The UK firmly rejects any suggestion of the resettlement of Palestinians outside of Gaza.

We share the concerns of our allies and partners that Gazans should not be subject to forced displacement or relocation from Gaza.”

David Cameron announced an extra £30million in aid to Gaza.
