Kenya and Somalia are experiencing heavy rains due to which many areas are flooded and many areas are inundated.

According to reports, 2,400 people have been trapped in the floodwaters in the southern state of Somalia, Jubaland, and rescue organizations are trying to move them to safe places. The Somali government has imposed a state of emergency across the country.

According to initial reports, 40 people have died due to floods and torrential rains while tens of thousands have been displaced.
