Last week, the Pope authorized priests to bless same-sex couples.
However, Kenyan Archbishop Philip Aniolo has said that same-sex marriage is against the traditions of Africa and religion, so such people will not be blessed in Kenya.

He wrote in one of his letters
“To make sure the fundamental doctrinal positions affirmed in the Declaration, and the perennial teachings of the Church on marriage, is upheld, all Clergy residing and ministering in the Archdiocese of Nairobi are prohibited from blessing irregular unions, or same-sex couples,”

Most African countries have very strict laws against same sex.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases of legalizing same sex in various countries and criminalizing it in some countries.
68 countries criminalize homosexuality as of 2022. Most of them are located in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

In some African countries, same-sex marriage or relationships are punishable by death, while in some others life imprisonment is imposed.
