Collision of 2 ships in China Sea. 1 drowned

One of the 2 ships that collided in the open waters of Shanghai, China, has sunk in the sea. 16 people on board belonged to Turkiye.

In a statement released by the Shipping Department attached to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communications, “Marshall’s flagship ‘Omega’ has collided with the ‘Mirabella’ in the open sea of Shanghai.

As a result of the collision, the Omega ship has sunk. The ship’s crew included 16 Turkish sailors.”

A total of 21 sailors, including 16 Turks, have been rescued by lifeboats.
