Australia once again refused to join Operation Prosperity Guardian.

The US-led naval coalition is to conduct Operation Prosperity Guardian against the Houthis in the Red Sea, for which ten countries are initially sending their navies to the Red Sea. According to the sources, 9 other countries have also expressed their support to participate in the operation. However, Australia once again made it clear that it will not be a part of the operation in the Red Sea.
Instead of sending warships to the Red Sea, Canberra pledged to provide additional personnel to the US-led coalition.

Earlier, UAE and Saudi Arabia had refused to join the alliance. According to some sources, Pakistan was also offered to join the alliance but it refused.

The Houthis started laying mines in the sea in response to Operation Prosperity Guardian.
