Former conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has apologized for his comments about the Sandy Hook shooting.

He said: “If that hurt people’s feelings, I apologize, but I did not send people to your houses. I did not pee on graves. I don’t know any of the stuff that went on.”

Alex Jones was banned for lying and spreading false information on social media apps and other platforms including Google. Apart from lying, he used to make indecent comments about people of different religions and transgenders. The day before yesterday, Elon Musk, owner of the social media app X conducted a poll on whether Alex Jones should be allowed back on X. The majority of those polled were in favor of reinstating him.

Elon Musk then held a space with Alex Jones. In the space, Alex Jones apologized for his misrepresentation about the Sandy Hook school shooting.

The Sandy Hook shooting incident occurred in 2012 in which 26 people were killed. Alex Jones was describing the incident as a conspiracy theory. Due to which the families of the people who died in the incident sued him. The case was settled last year and the court ordered Alex Jones to pay $1.5 billion in reparations to the families
